My Zoe is turning 2 on Sunday. She is abit difficult to buy/make for. Her sissie is a big-time girlie girl. Get her a princess dress or a baby doll and she's as happy as can be. Zoe....not so much. Not that she doesn't like to play dress up, though she would rather take things off than actually wear them. And while she does like to play with dolls she grows bored of them rather quickly. She's something of a tomboy-type, but not so much that she's into trucks and what-not...yet. So, this puts her at an awkard in-between stage and puts me at a loss as how to do for her for holidays. She is quite passionate about dogs, however, and I have this sweet little puppy that I bought from Etsy seller RAEWADOLLY. I actually got it for her for Christmas but it didn't come til the day after, so he has been patiently waiting in my gift cupboard.
Seriously, she has oodles of dogs and loves each and every one of them. So, what does this have to do with this, you ask.
Well, I got it into my head last night that I would make her a dolly. I love to make them but this is easier said than done at the moment because this is what my work room looks like right now. Actually, this is the nice version. I'm too 'shamed to show the rest. Since Thanksgiving I have literally been throwing things into the room. Now I have to lift my legs high just to walk around. I have been meaning to get in there and clean for a couple of months now, but....
Yikes! This is a meager attempt at wrangling a drop in the bucket that is my yarn stash. There's so much more all over the room that I have no clue how to store. It's already all over the house. In baskets and cupboards and bowels. I even have a few balls in planter type basket hanging on the wall. Supplies as art!
Well, I have about five more days to wade through the mess and get the job done. Wish me luck!
ps. If you don't hear back from me by next Monday, send the search party.

That gift is wonderful, she is going to love it :)
Oh dear! Sounds like my work space. I'm not sue I've ever really been able to work IN there actually? Now I just sort of crack the door and quick shove things in before it spills out- like a locker. And you can forget about finding anything in there!
Oh what a great Mommy you are and what a smart daughter to love doggies so much! ;-)
I added your beautiful blog to my Blog Candy roll...hope you have a great night!
Love,
Kim
I feel your pain too! There always is something else to be working on, dosn't there?
Girl, I hear you! That's the way my studio space is too. And just as soon as I start to clean it up, I get a fabulous project idea and drop (literally) everything to go work on it before I forget it.
Poor Julie. Ya know- you have always been the messy one in our friendship. I think that answers what it is that's been eating up your time... thinking about cleaning it up....
A woman after my own heart! I've got yarn stashed in the unlikeliest of places too :) And I had a major purge recently too Best of luck with your organization!

Wow the hoarding of yarn sounds familiar, my husband refers to mine as urban sprawl :)
